Location:Oncology ConsultantsPay Range:$80,000.00 - $170,000.00<div><h2>Join Oncology Consultants - as a FT APP Hospitalist!</h2>KPA 1 – Inpatient support • Conduct hospital rounds. • Assist with admissions and discharges. • Provide on-call support.KPA 2 – Assessment • Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing and obtaining a comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories. • Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs. • Prescribe medications and make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. • Refer patient to appropriate sources of care as clinically indicated. KPA 3 – Documentation • Ability to counsel patients concerning medical and psychological/psychiatric conditions, treatment plans, and behavior modification. • Maintain appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes. • Initiates timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds the scope of practice and /or expertise. • Capture charges in a timely manner.KPA 4 – Communication • Effectively communicate with admitting and referring team. • Triage and respond to all forms of communication in a timely manner. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.Position Qualifications/Requirements1. Education: <ul><li>Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant program</li><li>Master’s degree required</li></ul>2. Certifications/Licenses: <ul><li>APRN or PA license in appropriate state</li><li> Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply</li><li>Maintain Board Certification</li><li> Current BLS</li></ul>3. Previous Experience: <ul><li>Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA, Oncology required</li></ul>4. Core Capabilities: <ul><li>Analysis & Critical Thinking: Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills. Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment. </li><li>Interpersonal Effectiveness: Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness. Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.</li><li>Communication Skills: Good command of the English language. Second language is an asset but not required. Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.</li><li>Customer Service & Organizational Awareness: Strong customer focus. Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.</li><li>Self-Management: Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development. Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision.
