Case Underwriter I

The Case Underwriter I role is responsible for providing accurate underwriting offers while collaborating with Sales to enhance business opportunities and minimize risk. Responsibilities Processes, reviews, analyzes and makes informed underwriting decisions for Worksite product re-enrollments under 3,000 lives, group product renewals, and low-complexity life insurance proposals. All cases are reviewed with manager or higher level underwriter until proficiency is achieved Reviews enrollment and participation trends and learns how to make recommendations to optimize opportunity for sales while minimizing risk May provide monthly updates on sold case successes and failures as it relates to access and participation for Guarantee Issue cases Supports actuaries to develop renewal terms for Group product cases.
