<p><span style="font-weight: bold"><span><span>About Your Role</span></span></span><span> </span></p> <p><span><span>The Commissioning </span><span>Technician</span><span> supports the commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they are installed, tested, and </span><span>operating</span><span> </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> design specifications and project requirements. This role </span><span>is responsible for</span><span> reviewing design documents, developing pre-functional checklists and functional test scripts, and executing onsite commissioning activities. The Commissioning </span><span>Technician</span><span> works closely with the Commissioning Authority, Project Managers, engineers, and contractors to document testing results, coordinate system verification, and support successful project delivery. The position also provides technical input during the design phase, </span><span>assisting</span><span> engineering teams with system reviews, conceptual diagrams, and commissioning considerations to support overall system performance and reliability.</span></span><span> </span></p> <p><span> </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold"><span><span>What </span><span>You’ll</span><span> Do</span></span></span><span><span> (Job Responsibilities)</span></span><span> </span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Review of mechanical and electrical design documents and specifications associated.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Development of pre-functional checklists and functional test scripts.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Completion of onsite commissioning documentation to be reviewed by the Commissioning Authority or Project Manager prior to submission to the client.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Representing Data Airflow as a client facing commissioning expert.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Development of load bank plans.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Core to this role is holding the responsibility of onsite commissioning tasks assigned to you by either the onsite Commissioning Authority and/or Project Manager. These tasks shall be completed and </span><span>submitted</span><span> for review by the onsite Commissioning Authority and/or Project Manager for final approval prior to submission to the client.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <p><span> </span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Secondary responsibilities, focused on providing design phase project experience, will be as follows:</span></span><span> </span><br></li> </ul> <ul> <li style="list-style-type: none;"> <ul> <li><span><span>Provide engineering design support during offsite periods of time to the Engineering Team. This will consist of developing conceptual design diagrams as well as providing design phase commissioning peer review.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li style="list-style-type: none;"> <ul> <li><span><span>Develop design comprehension relating </span><span>commissioning</span><span> knowledge back to why a decision between two products applies to system operation.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li style="list-style-type: none;"> <ul> <li><span><span>Coordination of load banks to electrical distribution to mirror the anticipated </span><span>real world</span><span> load for equipment load testing.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><span> </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold"><span><span>What </span><span>You’ll</span><span> Need to Get the Job Done:</span></span></span><span> </span></p> <ul> <li><span><span>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering</span><span>, Electrical Engineering, or </span><span>a related</span><span> technical field, or equivalent industry experience.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>0-3</span><span> years of experience in commissioning, building systems, MEP engineering, or data center infrastructure.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Experience reviewing mechanical and electrical design documents and specifications.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Familiarity with commissioning processes including development of pre-functional checklists and functional performance testing.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Experience performing or supporting onsite commissioning activities and documenting results.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, mechanical systems, and critical infrastructure.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Experience coordinating load bank testing and equipment startup activities.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Strong technical documentation and reporting skills</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and project teams in both office and field environments.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span><span>Strong communication</span><span> skills with the ability to </span><span>represent</span><span> the company in client-facing technical discussions.</span></span><span> </span></li> </ul>
