Beaumont, TX | Travel Required (50–90% - Locally in SETX – No overnights)
Overview
Support and maintain industrial control systems, including DCS/SIS/PLC platforms. Participate in system design, installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and customer support across multiple industries. You are an expert problem solver with an eye for detail. You have 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and solving electrical, control, and/or software related issues in an industrial setting. You are excited by taking on new challenges or tinkering with something you haven’t seen before.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and troubleshoot DeltaV, DCS/SIS/PLC hardware and software systems.
Install, troubleshoot, and document control system hardware and software systems.
Lead or support FAT/SAT testing, field cabinet testing/checkout, and commissioning.
Provide on-site and remote customer support and troubleshooting.
Respond to service requests, create service tickets, document troubleshooting/resolutions.
Participate in emergency on-call rotation.
Collaborate with project teams on building, integrating, and commissioning new systems.
Occasionally assist with FEED activities such as site walkdowns, design, and sales activities.
Qualifications
5+ yrs experience in controls/systems/automation
Familiarity with DCS/PLC & industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Demonstrated ability to learn and teach yourself new skills/tech
Ability to travel extensively (locally) and lift up to 60 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
BS or higher in an Engineering Field
Some level of proficiency with networking, Virtualization, OS troubleshooting.
Leadership or supervisory experience in some capacity.
Experience with leveraging technology to increase productivity/job success
Control system programming, system integration, and industrial communication
Familiarity with SCADA, MES, batch systems, MRP/ERP integrations.
