Their cutting-edge technologies power some of the world's most demanding workloads across enterprise, research, and AI environments.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician (Level 2) to support critical data center operations in Manassas, VA. This role requires hands-on experience troubleshooting server hardware, supporting network infrastructure, and maintaining data center equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, basic Linux knowledge, excellent communication skills, and prior experience working in a production data center environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Top Skills Required</strong></p><ul><li>Server troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics</li><li>Experience with cabling, connectors, networking, and cooling systems</li><li>Basic Linux command-line experience</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Technical aptitude and willingness to learn</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Troubleshoot server hardware issues and identify root causes.</li><li>Install replacement server components and coordinate return of defective parts.</li><li>Perform server firmware updates and system maintenance.</li><li>Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.</li><li>Support network administrators with server and infrastructure-related tasks.</li><li>Replace damaged or faulty network and server cabling.</li><li>Re-route cables between server and switch ports as required.</li><li>Replace optical transceivers and related networking components.</li><li>Upgrade and install server hardware components.</li><li>Rack, stack, cable, and deploy servers and network equipment.</li><li>Respond to requests from network and systems teams to assist with hardware-related issues.</li><li>Follow established safety, security, and operational procedures within the data center.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>2-5 years of experience working in a data center environment.</li><li>Hands-on experience with server hardware troubleshooting and repair.</li><li>Experience working with copper and fiber cabling, connectors, and networking equipment.</li><li>Basic knowledge of Linux command-line operations.</li><li>Understanding of data center safety and security protocols.</li><li>Ability to lift, move, and install data center equipment as needed.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience supporting enterprise-scale data center operations.</li><li>Familiarity with server deployment, hardware upgrades, and firmware management.</li><li>Exposure to network infrastructure and switch installations.</li><li>Experience working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
