<p><b>ROLE TITLE: </b>Director, National Foundation Partnerships (Full time) </p><p><b>POSITION REPORTS TO: </b><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/bparisidoshi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Brittany Doshi</a>, Vice President, National Foundation Partnerships</p><p><b>APPLICATION DEADLINE</b>: Wednesday, May 27, 2026  </p><p><b>LOCATION: </b>Remote within the U.S.; preference for candidates based in the Bay Area or Seattle, with flexibility for local travel.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>WHAT YOU’LL DO</b></p><p>As a Director on the National Foundation Partnerships team, you will manage and grow a high-impact portfolio of institutional funders. You’ll serve as the primary relationship and grant manager for multiple partners – owning proposals, reports, compliance, and day-to-day engagement – while collaborating with executive, programmatic, and regional teams to deliver an exceptional funder experience. </p><p></p><p>Alongside portfolio management, you’ll lead cross-team special projects to strengthen our prospect pipeline and support complex, high-stakes partnership. This role requires strong judgement, sharp writing, and the ability to move quickly in a dynamic fundraising environment. </p><p></p><p>Reporting to the Head of Foundation Fundraising and Partnerships, you’ll join a virtual team of principal-gifts fundraisers located across the country. This person is ideally based in the Bay Area or Seattle – where TFA has a concentration of current and prospective partners – and can integrate themselves into the local philanthropic community, while staying connected to the national landscape.</p><p><br> </p><p><b>WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR</b></p><p></p><p>PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT (60%)</p><ul><li><p>Independently manage a grants portfolio, including drafting proposals and reports and ensuring grant compliance and implementation</p></li><li><p>Design a robust engagement experience, coordinating relationships across Teach For America and the foundation</p></li><li><p>Meet directly with program officers and foundation staff</p></li><li><p>Provide agile support for the Managing Directors’ portfolio of complex institutional partners, including drafting reports, meeting prep, and due diligence responses</p></li><li><p>Manages opportunity and relationship data in CRM</p></li></ul><p></p><p>SPECIAL PROJECTS (40%)</p><ul><li><p>Directs prospect pipeline development, including coordinating monthly prospect reviews to review qualified prospects and assign next steps with portfolio managers</p></li><li><p>Sources, researches, and qualifies new prospects (with support from our prospect strategy and research team)</p></li><li><p>Provides additional team operational support as needed</p></li><li><p>Participates in both team and organization initiatives (e.g. corps member selection)</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>A WEEK IN THE LIFE</b></p><p>A typical week is a dynamic mix of portfolio management, relationship building, and cross-team collaboration.</p><p></p><p>You may start the week reviewing deadlines across your grants portfolio – finalizing a portfolio, polishing a report, and checking in with program colleagues to ensure deliverables are on track. Mid-week may include meetings with program officers, preparing briefing notes for Managing Directors or the Vice President to meet with a prospective funder, or following up on engagement next steps.</p><p></p><p>You’ll also contribute to team-wide projects, planning for a monthly prospect review, for example. You’ll research and qualify a handful of prospects and prepare a recommendation to present to the broader National Foundation Partnerships team. Then lean into our project planning system to move forward action items related to donor cultivation. </p><p></p><p>By the end of the week, you’ve advanced multiple funding opportunities, strengthened key relationships, and showed up as a thoughtful and reliable partner to our institutional partners.</p><p></p><p><b>YOUR EXPERIENCE</b></p><p>Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">qualifications):  </span></p><ul><li><p>4 years of fundraising experience, ideally managing institutional partnerships with a track record of growing a portfolio</p></li><li><p>Excellent written communication for a donor audience, particularly in drafting original grant proposals and reports</p></li><li><p>Capacity to build rapport and trust with internal colleagues across departments and with funders, including in a virtual setting</p></li><li><p>Strong project management skills and comfort navigating complex systems to effectively manage grants</p></li><li><p>Agility and adaptability; the capacity to re-arrange priorities and respond to high-stakes donor requests </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>YOUR FUTURE TEAM</b></p><p>The National Foundation Partnerships team manages Teach For America’s leading institutional partnerships. We sit within the broader Development team that includes individual and corporate streams and a robust field fundraising operation – together raising over $250M annually. </p><p></p><p><b>YOUR COMPENSATION</b></p><p>The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. <b>New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.</b> The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below.
