Electrical and Automation Engineer

About the role

PRISM Engineering Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrical and Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining electrical and automation systems that are crucial to the success of our projects. Based in Klang, Selangor, you will play a key part in driving innovation and efficiency within our Electrical/Electronic Engineering operations.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop electrical systems and control systems for a variety of industrial projects
• Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and automation equipment
• Troubleshoot and provide maintenance support for existing systems to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, drawings and reports
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices
• Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of the engineering team

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience as an Electrical or Automation Engineer in the Engineering industry
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing electrical and automation systems
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, PLC programming, SCADA systems and other automation technologies
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in the use of engineering software, such as AutoCAD, PLC programming tools (TIA Portal, CX-Programmer) and project management tools
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
