The company combines traditional energy supply services with distributed energy infrastructure solutions such as solar and battery storage.</p> <p><strong>About the Position</strong></p> <p>The company is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented <strong>Energy Portfolio Analyst</strong> to support the company’s growing portfolio of power, natural gas, and REC assets across East Coast markets. This position will play a critical role in market analysis, portfolio management, risk assessment, and process optimization.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have experience working within energy markets and possess strong quantitative, analytical, and technical skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging energy professional to join a fast-growing organization operating at the forefront of renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Market Analysis & Reporting</strong></p> <ul> <li>Monitor and analyze electricity, natural gas, and REC markets </li> <li>Produce market insights, reporting, and analytics to support trading and risk management strategies </li> <li>Track market trends, pricing movements, and regulatory developments impacting portfolio performance </li> </ul> <p><strong>Portfolio Analytics</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain and improve pricing, forecasting, and hedging tools </li> <li>Ensure accuracy and integrity of portfolio data and reporting systems </li> <li>Analyze volumetric exposure, pricing risk, and portfolio performance metrics </li> </ul> <p><strong>Risk & Optimization Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support scenario analysis and risk modeling activities </li> <li>Assist in identifying portfolio optimization and supply opportunities </li> <li>Contribute to strategic decision-making related to energy procurement and asset management </li> </ul> <p><strong>Automation & Innovation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Improve workflows through automation and advanced analytics tools </li> <li>Support the implementation of AI and data-driven solutions for forecasting and reporting </li> <li>Enhance operational efficiency across portfolio management functions </li> </ul> <p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with internal teams to resolve data and operational issues </li> <li>Support broader commercial initiatives across trading, operations, and origination teams </li> <li>Contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced, and solutions-oriented culture </li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field </li> </ul> <ul> <li>2–4 years of experience in energy markets, portfolio analytics, risk management, trading support, or related functions </li> <li>Experience working with power, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and/or natural gas markets preferred </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities </li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools </li> <li>Experience with forecasting, pricing, hedging, or risk analytics preferred </li> <li>Familiarity with automation tools, scripting languages, AI applications, or business intelligence platforms is a plus </li> <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment </li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills </li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation package with a salary range of <strong>$90,000–$110,000</strong>, commensurate with experience </li> <li>Opportunity to work remotely within a high-growth renewable energy organization </li> <li>Exposure to innovative clean energy and distributed infrastructure projects </li> <li>Collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment </li> <li>Professional growth opportunities within a rapidly evolving energy platform</li> </ul>
