Event Venue Cleaner - Part-Time After Hours Cleaning Jobs

Auto Import

About the Role

A hospitality and events company is hiring part-time Event Venue Cleaners for post-event and pre-event cleaning shifts at banquet halls, conference centers, and entertainment venues. Event venue cleaning is shift-based work tied to the event calendar — you clean after events conclude (typically late evenings and weekends) and prepare the venue for the next booking. Pay is higher than standard janitorial work because of the after-hours schedule and the thoroughness required to reset a venue to event-ready condition.

What You Will Do

  • Perform a complete post-event clean of the main event hall including removing all trash, clearing tables, sweeping and mopping all floors, and cleaning restrooms
  • Break down and stack tables and chairs per the standard layout plan or manager instruction for storage
  • Clean the kitchen and prep areas after catered events — wiping down surfaces, clearing counters, and sweeping floors
  • Clean all bar areas including wiping down the bar top, clearing bottles and glassware, and mopping the bar floor
  • Vacuum or blow-dry carpet areas in the ballroom, foyer, and meeting rooms after events involving food service
  • Clean and restock all guest restrooms to venue standard before the facility re-opens for the next event
  • Prepare the venue for the next event as directed — setting up chairs, placing linens, and arranging decor per the event order
  • Report any damaged equipment, broken fixtures, or missing items found during post-event cleaning to the venue manager

What You Need

  • Availability for late evening and weekend shifts — events typically end at 10 PM to midnight, and cleaning begins immediately after
  • Physical stamina for active, high-output post-event cleaning that must be completed within a set window
  • Ability to work as part of a cleaning crew under time pressure — venues must be reset before the next booking
  • Professional conduct in a hospitality environment — venue clients may still be on-site during early cleaning
  • Reliability — venues cannot cancel a next-day event because the previous night's cleaning was not finished
  • Must be 18 or older — background check required

Nice to Have

  • Previous event, banquet, or commercial cleaning experience
  • Ability to operate a commercial floor machine, backpack vacuum, or ride-on scrubber
  • Banquet setup and breakdown experience

What We Offer

  • Pay of $14 – $18 per hour — event venue cleaning pays a premium for late-night and weekend shifts
  • Event-based scheduling — your schedule tracks the venue's event calendar, not a rigid weekly roster
  • All supplies and equipment provided on-site
  • Overtime available during busy event seasons (holidays, wedding season, conference season)
  • Tips from event staff at venues where this is customary
  • Paid sick leave per applicable law

Event venue cleaning is high-output, high-pay, and genuinely satisfying — you walk into a destroyed hall and turn it back into a venue-ready space in a few hours. If you can work late and work hard, apply today.
