Freelance Social Media Scriptwriter (Contract) Study.com is looking for scriptwriters to create short scripts for YouTube videos. Our ideal scriptwriter is familiar with writing scripts that sound natural, provide accurate information, and include video editing notes for call-outs and other video elements. This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid per piece. Project Description As a scriptwriter, you will produce engaging and informative scripts using a template for videos. You will be responsible for planning and scripting videos that align with our educational objectives and SEO best practices. We manage several YouTube channels targeted toward academic topics, including teacher certification test prep, college degree information, education and career resources, and more. Each video type includes a template for the video sections, script, and editing notes. Project Work <ul> <li>Independently select video topics from a list of topics.</li> <li>Follow guidelines for video structure, content, and style to ensure clarity and accuracy.</li> <li>Online research may be necessary for some channels or video types.</li> <li>Write engaging, informative, concise scripts that align with the intended topic(s).</li> <li>Revise and update content based on feedback from our review team.</li> <li>Write, visualize, and structure the video content, ensuring voiceover and visuals work together cohesively in finished scripts.</li> </ul> Required Skills & Experience <ul> <li>Ability to gather information on various topics and incorporate it into scripts.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and are collaborative and responsive.</li> <li>Strong online research & proficient English language skills.</li> <li>Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.</li> <li>Familiar with table formatting to organize voiceover scripts with corresponding visual elements.</li> </ul> Preferred Skills <ul> <li>Familiarity with best practices for YouTube video scripts.</li> <li>Experience writing for different video formats, including educational content, tutorials, test prep videos, and more.</li> <li>Experience with Smartsheet as a collaborator.</li> </ul> Do you think you can be a YouTube Video Scriptwriter for Study.com or know someone who might be interested?
