The Wichita Public Library has an immediate opening<br><br>for an energetic, service-minded Library Resource Officer. The Library<br><br>Resource Officer will provide operational oversight related to the<br><br>safety and security of library customers, staff, and building assets for<br><br>the Wichita Public Library system. This includes being trauma-informed<br><br>and community service oriented. Success in this position looks like<br><br>awareness of public library services, management of customer user of<br><br>library spaces, and customer referrals to community partners whose<br><br>services can assist with access to housing, healthcare, and social<br><br>services.\<br><br>\<br><br>This position reports to the Support Services Division Manager and is<br><br>responsible for the weekend oversight of spaces and providing necessary<br><br>support to staffat the Advanced Learning Library to provide a safe,<br><br>inclusive, and secure community space, for both customers and staff. In<br><br>addition to managing spaces and use at the Advanced Learning Library.<br><br>This position requires a people-first orientation, recognizing the wide<br><br>range of needs of customers and adapts approaches to<br><br>nonconfrontationally correct and de-escalate customer behavior.
