Long-Form YouTube Editor for Real Estate / Construction Documentary Channel (Ongoing)

Auto Import

I run a video production company, and one of my long-running clients is a real estate developer and builder with a growing YouTube channel. The channel documents real deals, active construction projects, and a resort development currently going up in the Bahamas. It is documentary build content, not talking-head vlogs.

I shoot everything myself. I am hiring an editor because long-form takes me too long to cut and I would rather spend that time on set.

Watch that one, then look through the rest of the channel. I want you to understand the voice before you pitch me.

What you would be doing

Editing 1 to 2 long-form videos per month, roughly 10 to 20 minutes finished

Working from raw footage I shoot: Lumix S1II (up to 5.9K), DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone, on-location interview and ambient audio

Cutting to a scripted structure. These are not word-for-word scripted, but the outline and beat structure are written ahead of the shoot, so you are working to a defined path with a brief and a shot list rather than building from scratch. The pacing inside that structure is where I need you.

Music selection, sound design, basic color, clean lower thirds and text treatments

One round of revisions included per video

What I am looking for

Real long-form YouTube experience with retention-driven editing. Send links, not a reel.

An instinct for pacing and retention. The structure will be handed to you, but where to hold, where to cut, and how the cold open lands is yours. Someone who thinks about why a viewer leaves at ninety seconds.

Reliable turnaround. On a publishing schedule, late is worse than imperfect.

Nice to have: experience cutting construction, real estate, business, or documentary content.

Logistics

This is ongoing work, not a one-off. If the first video lands, I want a monthly relationship.

Footage delivered via Dropbox

Fixed price per video, not hourly. Quote me your rate for a finished 12 to 15 minute video from roughly 1 hour of raw footage.

I would rather pay well for someone who nails it than shop for the cheapest bid.

First project would start around the week of 9/14

How to apply

Send 2 to 3 long-form YouTube videos you personally edited, and tell me exactly what your role was on each

Watch the reference video and tell me one thing you would change about it. Be specific and be honest. This is the part of your application I actually read.

Your rate per finished video and your typical turnaround time

Start your message with the word Exuma so I know you read this post

Applications that skip step 2 or step 4 will not get a response.
