<br><br><p><strong>Part-Time Nonprofit Business Planning Consultant — Independent Contractor</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>New Covenant Community Development Corporation (NCCDC)</strong> is seeking an experienced <strong>part-time independent consultant</strong> to support the development of a comprehensive business plan for a major initiative being undertaken by an established nonprofit organization.</p><p>This is not a traditional startup or product-based business planning assignment. We are looking for someone who understands how to evaluate and build a business case around a <strong>service-based, mission-driven initiative</strong> and can translate organizational vision, operations, financial considerations, market information, and stakeholder input into a practical and compelling business plan.</p><p><strong>What You'll Help Us Do</strong></p><p>Working with NCCDC leadership and the client organization, the consultant will support activities that may include:</p><ul><li>Reviewing existing project, organizational, operational, and financial materials</li><li>Conducting research and analyzing relevant market and environmental conditions</li><li>Participating in interviews and discussions with organizational leadership and key stakeholders</li><li>Assessing the proposed service delivery and operating model</li><li>Helping identify organizational, staffing, technology, and implementation requirements</li><li>Developing financial assumptions, projections, and sustainability considerations</li><li>Identifying risks, opportunities, and key performance measures</li><li>Developing an implementation and scaling framework</li><li>Translating research and analysis into a comprehensive, executive-level business plan</li><li>Supporting revisions and development of the final client deliverable</li></ul><p><strong>We're Particularly Interested in Someone Who Has</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience developing <strong>business plans, feasibility studies, strategic plans, or comparable planning documents</strong></li><li>Experience working with <strong>nonprofit, healthcare, community-development, social-service, or other service-based organizations</strong></li><li>Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills</li><li>Strong financial analysis and financial modeling capabilities</li><li>Experience evaluating organizational sustainability and funding models</li><li>Strong research skills</li><li>Experience interviewing and working with senior organizational leaders and stakeholders</li><li>Excellent project management skills</li><li>Exceptional professional writing and presentation skills</li><li>The ability to take complex information from multiple sources and turn it into a clear, cohesive, actionable plan</li><li>The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with NCCDC and client leadership</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What Will Distinguish Strong Candidates</strong></p><p>We are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate that they have taken a complex organizational concept or initiative and helped leadership answer questions such as:</p><p><strong>Is there a sustainable business model? What will it cost? How should it operate? What resources are required? How will success be measured? What are the risks? And what would it take to implement and potentially scale the initiative?</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Engagement</strong></p><p>This is a <strong>part-time, project-based independent contractor engagement</strong> with NCCDC.</p><p>The consultant will work under NCCDC's direction and collaborate with designated representatives of the client organization.
