Part-Time Inventory Counter - Amazon Warehouse Flexible Shifts
Auto ImportAbout the Role
MNC JOBS INFO is placing part-time Inventory Counters at Amazon fulfillment centers and third-party warehouses conducting cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Inventory counting is a quieter, more detail-oriented warehouse role than picking or packing — you work methodically through assigned bin locations, physically counting the items present and reconciling against the system record. This role suits people who prefer focused, accurate work over high-output rate pressure, and it is available in flexible part-time overnight and weekend shifts at many facilities.
What You Will Do
- Receive a daily cycle count assignment through the warehouse management system and navigate to the assigned bin locations using a scanner or printed count sheet
- Physically count all items in each assigned bin location, confirming unit count, item size, and SKU match against the system record
- Record count results in the WMS or on the count sheet, noting any discrepancies between the physical count and the system quantity
- Escalate significant inventory discrepancies, damaged inventory, and misplaced items to the inventory control team for investigation
- Recount any locations where your initial count does not match the system expectation within the tolerance threshold
- Assist the inventory control team with special projects including new area setup, relabeling, and bin reorganization as assigned
- Keep count sheets and scanner records organized and accurate — inventory data integrity depends on the accuracy of every count
- Work at a measured pace that balances count accuracy with completing your daily assignment
What You Need
- Strong attention to detail — inventory counting mistakes create downstream fulfillment and ordering errors
- Ability to work methodically and accurately without rushing through the count assignment
- Basic math and reading ability — comparing physical counts to system quantities and confirming SKU matches
- Comfortable working alone or in a small team through designated warehouse aisles with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability for overnight or weekend count shifts which minimize conflict with active warehouse operations
- Must be 18 or older — no prior experience or degree required
Nice to Have
- Previous cycle count, physical inventory, or warehouse receiving experience
- WMS (Warehouse Management System) or RF scanner experience
- Experience with inventory accuracy programs in retail, distribution, or manufacturing
What We Offer
- Pay of $15 – $18 per hour with overnight and weekend shift differentials
- Flexible shift scheduling — overnight count shifts are ideal for people with daytime commitments
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
- Part-time benefits eligibility after the qualifying period
- A calmer, more detail-focused warehouse environment compared to high-rate pick and pack roles
- Paid time off accrual from day one
