You'll report to, and partner closely with, the Director of People & Culture, collaborating cross-functionally with our team of journalists, creators, and operations staff.</span></p> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">This role calls for someone who leads with empathy, maintains the highest standards of integrity and discretion, and brings genuine enthusiasm for building workplaces where people feel seen, supported, and able to do their best work.</span></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">WHAT YOU'LL DO</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Champion Culture & Values</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Embody and model Courier's core values in every interaction and decision</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Partner with leadership to align policies and practices with organizational values</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Draft and send employee newsletter on a monthly basis </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Regularly post company updates and announcements in Slack</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Drive engagement initiatives across the organization that foster a culture of belonging and connection: virtual events, trivia nights, monthly newsletters</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Partner with Director of People on End-to-End Recruiting</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">In partnership with the Director, People & Culture, own the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer, and onboarding</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Design innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent that reflects our mission and values</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and develop effective hiring plans</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Regularly post and advertise positions on the company website, LinkedIn, and other niche job-boards </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Train and guide hiring managers using best practices from the Courier Hiring Guide; keeping the guide current</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Support the Full Employee Lifecycle</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Serve as a trusted resource for employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Implement programs that measure and enhance satisfaction, retention, and professional growth</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Facilitate smooth new-hire onboarding</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Conduct 90-day checkpoints and satisfaction surveys</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Ensure annual training compliance for all full-time employees</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Manage the annual internship program from sourcing through off-boarding</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Maintain Compliance of Company Policy </span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Compliance champion that understands and anticipates the needs of a constantly evolving remote environment</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Own annual compliance requirements for training</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Proactive idea generation to improve current policies </span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Audit existing policies and recommend policy changes</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Maintain HRIS & Operational Excellence</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Maintain accurate employee data in BambooHR and ADP Workforce Now</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Own the company-wide internal calendar and prepare materials for bi-monthly All Hands meetings</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Support employee performance checkpoints and development conversations</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Use data to drive insights to senior leadership to drive key understanding and decision making for people decisions </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Handle Sensitive Information with Care</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Manage all confidential employee, candidate, and organizational data with discretion and integrity</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Establish and uphold protocols to safeguard sensitive information across the organization</span></li> </ul> <p><br><br></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt">WHAT YOU BRING</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold">Required</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt">Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or equivalent experience</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt">Proven HR or recruiting experience</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt">Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt">Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR practices</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt">Demonstrated commitment to DE&I</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34);
