Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Plumbing Designer to design and develop plumbing systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing design drawings, performing calculations, preparing BOQs, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design plumbing systems including water supply (hot & cold water), drainage & sewerage, storm water drainage, and rainwater harvesting systems
  • Design Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and treated water reuse systems
  • Perform detailed design calculations such as water demand, fixture unit calculation, pipe sizing, velocity checks, pump head & capacity calculation, and drainage slope calculations
  • Prepare BOQ, technical specifications, and tender documentation
  • Ensure compliance with NBC, CPHEEO guidelines, and local authority/municipal norms
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and HVAC teams for integrated design
  • Review shop drawings, vendor submissions, and technical documents
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during project execution
  • Resolve design-related issues and provide practical solutions
  • Optimize plumbing systems for water conservation, sustainability, and cost efficiency
  • Prepare and review as-built drawings and project documentation

Requirements:

  • 4 - 10 years of experience in plumbing design for commercial/residential projects
  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing design standards and codes (NBC, CPHEEO, etc.)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM knowledge preferred)
  • Experience in BOQ preparation and tender documentation
  • Good coordination and communication skills

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in handling multiple projects
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working with MEP consultancy or design firms preferred
