<p><span style="color: #000000;">GAI Consultants is seeking a Project Engineer with a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering and a PE certificate plus a minimum of fourteen (14) years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in Civil Engineering. Potential work locations may include offices in Cranberry or Homestead, PA or be remote. Applicants would be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing highway design efforts as well as preparing construction plans, right-of-way plans, specifications, and project estimates.<strong></strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong><strong></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Transportation design including roadway design and traffic analysis.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Assist with developing and providing oversight for the preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedules for specific tasks of overall projects, supervise staff to complete their assigned tasks; identify project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supervisor; maintain GAI’s procedures and protocols; assist with all aspects of financials on projects.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Knowledgeable in MicroStation with the familiarity of roadway design software such as OpenRoads Designer desired.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">May serve as a Task Manager on small projects.</span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>General Characteristics</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Applies thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of engineering related to the variety of aspects affecting their organization.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Applies progressively acquired expertise to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting their practice and recommends new practices or changes in emphasis of projects.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Leads projects of moderate complexity and scope or leads a major project.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Analyzes complex problems across specialty areas appropriate to the practice of engineering.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Analyzes ethical dilemmas to determine appropriate courses of action. </span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Minimum Years of Experience</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">14+ Years of Experience</span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Education</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">B.S. or M.S.
