We’re currently looking for contractual proofreaders and formatters on a work-from-home basis. This would be a contractual agreement, and renewable upon mutual consent. Work will be available regularly so that you can maintain a predictable schedule. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the quality and integrity of scholarly publications while developing valuable skills in proofreading and formatting. <div class="jobdescription">Job Responsibilities</div> <ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Format various elements of journal articles in accordance with provided style guidelines.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Notify authors of any unclear style points or contradictory guidelines for clarification.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Adapt working approach to meet client and industry requirements effectively.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Ensure consistency and accuracy in formatting throughout the document.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Collaborate with team members to maintain high-quality standards.</li></ul> <div class="jobdescription">Qualifications and Prerequisites</div> <ul><li>Master's/Ph.D. degree with experience in formatting/proofreading (mandatory)</li><li>Familiarity with the AMA style guide</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including track changes and styling options</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with authors and team members</li><li>Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li></ul> <div class="jobdescription">Benefits of this Role</div> <ul><li>Flexibility.
