Senior Property Accountant

The company is a privately held real estate investment and management firm operating as the investment and acquisition arm of a well-established family office. The portfolio includes over 5 million square feet of diversified real estate assets across the United States, including office, retail, residential, senior living, and industrial properties.
With a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach, the firm actively manages and enhances its assets to drive long-term value. Operating with a lean team, the organization provides strong visibility into both financial operations and asset management, offering team members exposure across the full lifecycle of real estate ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR)
- Support property-level accounting, including income and expense tracking and reconciliations
- Assist with monthly close, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and properties
- Partner with property managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders on financial matters
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
- Identify process improvements and support operational efficiency
- Provide ad hoc financial and administrative support as needed
- Maintain and update monthly rent rolls
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of accounting or financial administration experience
- Property accounting experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (preferred)
- Experience with Yardi and/or MRI (preferred)
- Strong understanding of AP/AR and general accounting principles
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
