Software Engineer

Auto Import

Partnac is building the infrastructure for modern partnerships.

Brands work with affiliates, creators, publishers, agencies, and other partners to drive growth. Partnac gives them the tools to recruit partners, manage campaigns, track performance, and automate payouts, all from one platform.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our lean engineering team and help us build and ship real product features.

This is an unpaid volunteer role. It’s best suited for someone who wants hands-on experience working on a real SaaS product, contributing to production software, and learning how an early-stage startup operates.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship features across the Partnac platform.
  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Golang.
  • Build responsive and intuitive product interfaces using Next.js.
  • Design, query, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
  • Work on integrations, tracking, analytics, payments, and other core platform functionality.
  • Fix bugs, improve performance, and maintain existing features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Review code and collaborate with other engineers.
  • Participate in technical discussions and help make architectural decisions.
  • Work closely with the founder and product team to turn ideas into working features.

Our stack

  • Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript
  • Backend: Golang
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Nginx
  • Other: REST APIs, third-party integrations, background jobs, analytics, payments

You don't need experience with every technology listed. Strong fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly matter more.

What we're looking for

  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience building applications with Next.js/React or similar frontend frameworks.
  • Experience with Golang or another backend language.
  • Good understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
  • Comfortable working with APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Ability to read, understand, and improve existing code.
  • Good Git and GitHub workflow knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
  • Genuine interest in startups, SaaS, and building products.

This role is for you if...

  • You want to work on a real product used by real businesses.
  • You want experience beyond tutorials and personal projects.
  • You enjoy solving engineering problems from scratch.
  • You want to see your code shipped rather than sitting in a classroom or GitHub repository.
  • You're comfortable in an early-stage environment where things move quickly and priorities can change.

What you'll get

  • Hands-on experience building and shipping production SaaS software.
  • Direct collaboration with the founder and engineering team.
  • Exposure to real-world product, infrastructure, database, and architecture decisions.
  • Meaningful contributions you can add to your portfolio and résumé.
  • Flexible, remote work.
  • The opportunity to grow with an early-stage startup and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Potential for future paid opportunities as the company grows, based on performance and business needs.

Time commitment

This is a flexible volunteer position. We care more about what you build and contribute than simply tracking hours.
