Umbraco Developer / Consultant Location: Remote Department: Engineering / Digital Solutions Reports To: Technical Lead / Engineering Manager Job Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Umbraco Developer / Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Umbraco CMS, .NET technologies, and Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and accessible CMS-driven web platforms. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade websites, ensuring high performance, usability, and compliance with best practices such as WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards. Key Responsibilities Umbraco Development & Configuration <ul> <li>Configure and implement Umbraco CMS solutions for enterprise and public-facing websites</li> <li>Design and develop content models, document types, templates, and reusable components</li> <li>Implement and manage forms, workflows, approvals, user roles, and permissions</li> </ul> Multi-site & Content Governance <ul> <li>Build and manage microsites and multi-site architectures</li> <li>Establish content governance standards to ensure consistency and scalability</li> </ul> Integration & Migration <ul> <li>Support integration with third-party systems, APIs, and services</li> <li>Plan and execute content migration strategies, including validation and data integrity checks</li> </ul> Cloud & Deployment <ul> <li>Collaborate with cloud/security teams for Azure-based deployments</li> <li>Support hosting on Azure App Service, Azure SQL, and Blob Storage</li> <li>Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization</li> </ul> Accessibility & Compliance <ul> <li>Ensure implementations align with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards</li> <li>Apply best practices for responsive design, SEO, and security</li> </ul> Documentation & Support <ul> <li>Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials</li> <li>Provide troubleshooting, upgrades, and post-launch support</li> <li>Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability</li> </ul> Required Qualifications Experience <ul> <li>3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Umbraco CMS</li> <li>Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET frameworks</li> <li>Proven track record delivering enterprise or public-sector websites</li> </ul> Technical Skills <ul> <li>Experience with Azure (App Service, Azure SQL, Blob Storage)</li> <li>Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</li> <li>Experience with Umbraco Forms, workflows, permissions, and multi-site setups</li> <li>Knowledge of API integrations, content migration, redirects, and SEO preservation</li> </ul> Core Competencies <ul> <li>Understanding of accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and secure CMS implementation</li> <li>Strong collaboration skills with PMs, BAs, UX designers, frontend, QA, and clients</li> <li>Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities</li> </ul> Nice to Have <ul> <li>Experience with headless CMS implementations</li> <li>Familiarity with DevOps tools and automation</li> <li>Experience working in agile delivery environments</li> </ul> What We Offer <ul> <li>100% remote work flexibility</li> <li>Opportunity to work on enterprise-grade digital transformation projects</li> <li>Collaborative and innovation-driven environment</li> <li>Exposure to modern cloud-first architecture and CMS platforms</li> </ul> Application Instructions Please submit examples of Umbraco projects, GitHub repositories (if available), and any relevant certifications.
